The first LEGO League event occurred in Brooklyn last Saturday. The object of the event was to move lego bricks from one place to another to earn points. The contest is based on real life situations, such as attaching casts and opening a blood stream. The winner will be going to the finals at the Javits Center next year. Here are some pics from the competition.

Lego Universe

I think that LEGO might be taking everything too far. You've got lego usb drives, lego salt and pepper shakers, lego bookbags and lunchboxes, etc. But, I think that the new MMOG (Massively-multiplayer online game) fits quite well with "regular" legos. Here are a few screenshots of the new game.
